Gastronomy
TORREVIEJA is clearly a place closely related
to the sea and the salt, so the traditional dishes are basically made
from sea products. The most typical speciality is the "caldero",
rice cooked with different varieties of fish, as well as rice cooked with
anchovy, and then codfish, sea bream, mackerel, ray, etc.
Due to the affluence of foreign visitors, TORREVIEJA also counts on a
large choice of international specialities, such as the Italian, French,
German, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Scandinavian, Serbian, Croatian, Mexican,
Russian and Arabian amongst others, not to mention all the national specialities.
