Cultural Events
Culture in Torrevieja comes by the hand of
important events such as international literary competitions and contests
of sculpture, journalism, etc.
There are also artistic competitions and musical contests in which participants
from all parts of Spain come to take part. Drama, conferences, art exhibitions
and festive events are organised throughout the year by different institutions
and associations.
The Diego Ramírez award is perhaps the best example of the love
that the people of Torrevieja profess to this land. It is the annual award
given to the person or institution that has dedicated the biggest effort
to improve life in Torrevieja during the year.
