Housing Development
Torrevieja used to be a small village. Its
growth in terms of infrastructures has evolved around the main square,
now called "Plaza de la Constitución".
The improvements in city planning can be seen through the housing development
with the construction of many estates. All of them equipped with different
amenities and services, permanently watched over by security services.
With plenty of green spaces and some of them close to the sea, surrounded
by sports facilities.
The municipal financial resources have allowed for the improvement of
roads in different areas. The housing estates have taken their own names
such as "El Limonar", "Rocío del Mar", "
Los Balcones", "La Siesta" and over a hundred where to
choose from.
